EXPECATIONS FOR MESSY MOMENTS

One day a basketball fanatic wanted to play basketball with her friends, but apparently none turned up because it was a weekend. Her desire to play basketball rose that she started searching for basketball courts in the vicinity. Gratefully she found one at a drivable distance but didn’t know how to drive a car☹ at that point of time. Ah snap that didn’t stop her from practicing her favorite game, nevertheless she biked to the court and played basketball unaccompanied. She was ecstatic because she overcame her obligations, limitations, excuses and managed to play. From then on, she set novice prospects for herself to play no matter whatever the situations life throws at her. Everyone has expectations for themselves,  but I never thought I would be the one to secure gold medal in 2016 for excellence in extra-curricular, co-curricular activities and academics (still reminisce those beautiful days). This was totally a result of giving my best in every aspect and that was th...

GIVE IT TO EARN IT

Feelings are palpable if you express fictitious if you don't inarticulate:) I've lately realized that penning down my feelings, thoughts is the best to retrospect on self. One day I was irate while driving because of something due to which I ended up driving impetuously, not following rules knowing that it will be collateral damage, self-damage if something happens. Inherently I knew am not that kind of a person but at times it's an instinctive reaction to be just indignant .Therefore I comprehended myself to just stay calm by taking deep breaths while driving .Other best practices how I got rid of irateness was just going for a walk in nature or putting down thoughts in a journal, talking to family/best friends . Per say we feel that society/circumstances around us are impacting our inner thoughts, at times I feel its family struggle, work pressure, etc.. at times we are so much worried that ohhh what would others feel if I do what I like.Do we really have contr...

Spirituality

May I be at peace May my heart remain open May I awaken to the light of my own true nature May I be healed May I be a source of ebullience. Whenever we listen or use the word spirituality, we tend to assume that the word might be related to religion, portraying cultural views. People may describe a spiritual experience as  sacred  or transcendent   or simply a deep sense of aliveness and interconnectedness. I started off intriguing about the essence of spirituality when I was a 20-year-old and wanted to share my thoughts on its relevance in current situations. In my view it’s the realization of man’s real nature. As Swami Vivekananda said Religion is realization; not talk, nor doctrine, nor theories, how beautiful they may be. It is about being and becoming the person you are.   Spirituality is a broad concept with room for many perspectives. In general, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than us, and it typically involves a searc...

INHUMANE GENERATION

1.Technology juxtaposition Today I was vouching through Netflix for a good documentary and I found “The social dilemma” documentary to be promising, relevant for this generation about how social media is making us get addicted to the feeds, ad’s, notifications, etc.. Consider this paradoxical question: since all tools are made by humans, must not all human-made tools express our humanity? Are tools and technologies inevitably humane because they’ve been made by humans, and thus are extensions of someone’s humanity? And so, bluntly, am I then also responsible for them despite my clear-eyed everyday sense that some innovations are humane while others are not?  The boundary between the human-made world and humans themselves is increasingly hard to draw.. Today, given the primacy of digital technology in mediating human experience, aren’t we species fundamentally shaped by personal technologies: past, present, future? So anticipation, foresight and understandin g ...

WOMEN INFLUENCER

“We need to keep changing the attitude that teaches men to feel threatened by the presence and success of women” -Barack Obama To me, feminism means working towards achieving global gender equality. Everyone is born equal, regardless of gender, race, or sexuality. However, there are so many aspects of life in which people are not treated equally: politically, economically, legally, and socially. Feminism is about working against the systems built to keep certain groups of people oppressed and striving towards equality for everyone. Below are amazing words by Ex-President of United states: We need to keep changing the attitude that raises our girls to be demure and our boys to be assertive, that criticizes our daughters for speaking out and our sons for shedding a tear. We need to keep changing the attitude that punishes women for their sexuality and rewards men for theirs. We need to keep changing the attitude that permits the routine harassment of women, whether they’re walking do...

ESSENCE OF CONTENTMENT

My dad always told me one thing right from childhood which got implanted in my mind and I would never overlook for rest of my life: “Simple living, high thinking and simplicity is the ultimate erudition”. I do have a query which triggers my thoughts everyday: Are we truly contented with what we are and is there a conclusion argument for contentment at any point in life? Let me walk you through the contentment I get in a day. Every single morning, I put forward my profuse thanks and earnest gratitude to god for providing me with an opportunity to endure to do something prodigious for what I was predestined for. Sometimes when I wake up early, I feel energetic and contented that my day would be filled with miracles and breakthroughs but if I end up rousing up late, I feel indolent/idle throughout the day. It starts with accomplishing simple tasks like you were able to fix a bug in the design, answering your coworker politely, cooking your favorite food, shopping at your favorite ...

TOMMOROW IS ANOTHER DAY

" Resilience isn’t flying through without tears. You don’t need resilience to get through the easy stuff. Resilience is being knocked down by something, struggling through the mud, and standing up again, even if limping and on one leg, but standing up to fight another day.” The past few weeks has been surreal for the whole world. As I started capturing my thoughts am kind off vicarious and feeling dejected, unhappy that am not able to help/serve the needy one’s in the world which is quite unfortunate. In this moment only thing which matters is how doctors, health care workers are handling millions of patients suffering from this havoc pandemic, it’s massively disruptive and for many people it has been intensely stressful dealing with this catastrophic situation for them. I can imagine the nerve-wracking days, sleepless nights they are going through and it’s our individual responsibility of stabilizing the pandemic. No one knows how long this pandemic will last, or how long ...
PART-IV: An impact-full interpretation of defense daughter  "Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth". We flaunt our army background a lot which is why we may seem proud or bratty .But I think as Army kids ,we're raised to be really independent ;you don't see your dad around much and your mum is holding the family together and it's almost like she's a single mum. We're two kids and our dad always made us carry our own bags ..I was never treated like a dainty girl and was raised tough (though after retirement I became his princess though) .As defense brat I would not have traded my life for anything else. I loved the nomadic life, the uncertainty of the next posting, the excitement of packing and moving to a guest room for that period, shedding tears for friends who knew we’d never meet again, and then the unpacking and settling down at another station, making new friends, and going to a new school. I inter...
PART  III : Portraying defense family                                                                ------Dedicated to Lt. Anvesh Reddy (LOVE U :)) My life until now has been full of ups and downs so as I started writing this narrative, far away from that paradise and from a different country; Apparently this time when I visited India I didn't get a chance to meet my dear brother but both of us were able to keep up with the situation .T here are men sitting with rifles at altitudes of more than 15000 feet, at temperatures of -35 degree Celsius, vigilantly monitoring the Indian borders. If there’s a lapse in their attention for even a second, they might lose their lives. Is that what motivates them to get frost bites, to celebrate Diwali and their children’s birthdays in an isolated, de...

PART II: A major twist in our lives happened during  Papa’s retirement. We were supposed to visit  Bangalore  for a month to relish his retirement and visit  places  in and  around  Bangalore. It was March 30th(don't remember the exact year) when brother started to feel  nauseated  and next day we took  him to a  doctor .Doctor mentioned  that  it was appendicitis and he needs to get treated immediately(It was not actually appendicitis since he had 10 stitches on his lower abdomen) .So we had to cancel our Bangalore trip and Papa took official retirement on a sad note. He rushed to the hospital directly from railway station. After a month everything was back to normal and s tarted spending  quality  time with Papa, but the destiny didn't favor mom. She was working in a different location which was 3-4 hours away from Hyderabad which is why she used be home every 3 days. This phase of life as a chi...

STORY OF MY LIFE

Image
"Na karmana na prajaya dhanena tyagenaike amrta tvamanasuh parena naked nihitam guhayam vibhrajate yadyatayo visanti" ---Neither by actions nor by progeny and wealth, but by renunciation alone is immortality attained. I dedicate this article to the defense families of India. Part I: Cute Anusha in Delhi Time to reminisce the memories of my childhood. Initial 12 years of my childhood was with mamma since papa was in defense forces. We definitely missed dad’s love, care. Every day I asked mamma when papa is coming back and she always avoided our question but used to say pretty soon, could witness the agony in answering us in mamma’s eyes. Unfortunately, “pretty soon” was once every six months as we realized that later. It’s not just my family but all the families, especially kids, experience the same situation but it’s more intense with defense families. Back in those days we did not have mobile phones with (forget about) skype or whatsapp, landlin...

EMPOWERING SELF: HAPPINESSS

"Many times even bullshit can get you to the top but never lets you stay there." The moment we are born as human beings somehow our lives got complicated ,If we had come as any other creature on this planet life would be very simple -eating ,sleeping, reproducing and dying one day. Now we have to do all those things but after doing all those things we find somehow it's not enough,We want be little more than what we're right now . If you know only pleasure ,may be little more pleasure ,power little more power ,money little more money.Whatever it may be but everybody is wanting to be little more than what they are right now.The process of desiring is continuously on!! What is well-being?When do we truly feel well? When you are happy, you are well.Even if you're physically ill, you are still well.So fundamentally well being means a certain level of joyfulness, certain level of exuberance in life. We are constantly in search for pursuit of happiness: That we wa...

ABRUPT END -Story of an excruciating engineer

“Everyday is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again .That’s the way life is, with a new game everyday and that’s the way every game is” Starting full time job in one of the world’s leading electric car manufacturer was overwhelming, certainly everyone’s dream to land in so called MNC’s and one of the preposterous decision I have ever made.Specially was thrown in a desert where you get to see batteries more than people ,for the first time ever felt so lonely because of the place .  I am  so grateful to my friends in the oasis who eliminated the agony I was facing in the beginning . “ Work is worship ”-In this world of intellectuals felt like a simple minded and unintelligent ,since this was so called the “first job” .Slowly built up the self confidence to get along with the geeks .As time passed I became nerd and workaholic much like everyone (one among the flock of sheep) but was totally perplex...

PASSION Vs LOVE Vs COMMITMENT

If I am to be fallen into love, I will. And if as a result I will appear to be stupid, disillusioned, and of poor judgment, I will. And I would be damned if I cared what other people think. For I would rather be thought of as all of these things, than not love instead   I will ride the   horse with my head held high. This is my spirit. I am unbreakable.”  ―  C. JoyBell C. Disclaimer: These words are not intended to hurt anyone L All of us are passionate about one or the other but if we have to choose between these factors It might be difficult to choose between extremely intense feelings because one is temporary phase of complete ecstasy and euphoria . Of course, we all wish it would last forever, but the fact is that it doesn’t. If this did last forever, we would not be able to accomplish anything, or get anything done. We would all be too distracted, and caught up in the other person, and while it does feel good, it’s not always good thing. No matt...

BEING EMOTIONALLY SOUND:(

“ Highly sensitive people are too often perceived as weaklings or damaged goods. To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. It is not the empath who is broken, it is society that has become dysfunctional and emotionally disabled. There is no shame in expressing your authentic feelings. Those who are at times described as being a 'hot mess' or having 'too many issues' are the very fabric of what keeps the dream alive for a more caring, humane world. Never be ashamed to let your tears shine a light in this world.” ― Anthon St. Maarten Becoming a woman today for me means to be independent, responsible, and emotionally sound .I’ve been through many situations that life has taught me lessons. Those milestones in my life all mean something to me and have changed my life in one way or another. I have learned many lessons, good and bad, but I do believe it is all for the better in the long run . I'm motiva...

LIFE OF AN ENGINEER @TESLA

Image
PART-1 “If you get up in the morning and think the future is going to be better, it is a bright day ”- Elon Musk Everyday we wake up with enormous enthusiasm and see the world’s transitioning into sustainable energy. A company dedicated to producing affordable, mass-market electric cars as well as battery products and solar roofs.  Landing the gig doesn't come easy though. Be it Mechanical Engineer/Electrical Engineer even for interns, the work is tough and we get to work with fellow interns from MIT, Stanford, Princeton ,Carnegie Mellon, etc… All of us compete together ,help each other no matter what the problem statement is . Working at Tesla is  like drinking water from an ocean ; you will be always pushed beyond your comfort zone, and will be given an immense amount of responsibility, and opportunity to  learn a ton in short amount of time. I would consider myself lucky enough for all of these 'pros' of working at the company, because these will be ...

PERSONALITY: INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL

“Your personality is totally unlike any other personality. It is the sum of total of qualities ,emotions , characteristics, appearances, etc, which distinguish us from all other people on earth” Our personality cannot be defin ed in one word, nor with half a dozen words , for it represents the sum total of all one’s characteristics⇆ ,good and bad. This is what distinguishes you from others. Your clothes form an important par t of your personality ; the way you wear them, the harmony of colours you select, etc. You facial expression forms an important part of your personality . Your voice ,its pitch ,tone , volume and the language you use , because they mark you instantly once you have spoken , as a person of refinement or the opposite. Don’t give the shit importance to external appearance but instead try to study someone through his /her actions, thoughts and values. A pleasing personality usually may be found in the person who speaks gently and kindly , selecting   ...

SERVICE BEFORE SELF

We are in a world of luxuries where we crib for petty things. There are people who are striving to save our nation every minute ,yes I am speaking about the great defence officers and soldiers!!Give them the administrative power instead of giving it to the stupid f***ing politicians who are not even eligible to speak about defence. This is not just my pain /agony  it's gentlemen cadets pain from IMA,IAF,INA... Swami Vivekananda said: “ What we want is muscles of iron and nerves of steel. We have wept long enough. No more weeping, but stand on your feet and be men. It is man-making theories that we want. It is man-making education all round that we want. ” Our Indian defense brats are admiration to each one of us. The way they get trained transforms them into a rigid personality with utmost valor, courage. We are losing young and dynamic officers every month and yes the defense minister is someone who doesn't even know about Defence forces. This is how Indian governme...

Image
“SUCCESS STORIES ARE GREAT BUT FAILURE STORIES ARE EVEN MORE BETTER” Dedicated to all the Electrical engineers!!! My zeal to reach the pinnacle will always remain alive. To start off with NOKIA, First call so I was very excited ki itna jaldi kisi kho mera resume acha laga karke par dekho kaunsa position ke liye 😊 Since it was software related position I wasn’t prepared and not much interested .Electronics engineer’s attitude was very much imbibed inside me .As usual critics were ready to give suggestions and many of them said “ Getting an intern for electrical graduates is really difficult ,so shift to computer science” Hmmm…Hum bhi kam nahi hain !!ARMY BLOOD and the robust   mindset to achieve will never go from our blood 😊 Now comes the call from great semi conductor manufacturing company Intel :My preparation   was too much ,spent relentlessly two nights without sleep and interview also went well but KEHTE HAIN JINKO REFERENCE HAIN UNKO MIL JATA HAIN and...
