INHUMANE GENERATION

1.Technology juxtaposition Today I was vouching through Netflix for a good documentary and I found “The social dilemma” documentary to be promising, relevant for this generation about how social media is making us get addicted to the feeds, ad’s, notifications, etc.. Consider this paradoxical question: since all tools are made by humans, must not all human-made tools express our humanity? Are tools and technologies inevitably humane because they’ve been made by humans, and thus are extensions of someone’s humanity? And so, bluntly, am I then also responsible for them despite my clear-eyed everyday sense that some innovations are humane while others are not?  The boundary between the human-made world and humans themselves is increasingly hard to draw.. Today, given the primacy of digital technology in mediating human experience, aren’t we species fundamentally shaped by personal technologies: past, present, future? So anticipation, foresight and understandin g ...

WOMEN INFLUENCER

“We need to keep changing the attitude that teaches men to feel threatened by the presence and success of women” -Barack Obama To me, feminism means working towards achieving global gender equality. Everyone is born equal, regardless of gender, race, or sexuality. However, there are so many aspects of life in which people are not treated equally: politically, economically, legally, and socially. Feminism is about working against the systems built to keep certain groups of people oppressed and striving towards equality for everyone. Below are amazing words by Ex-President of United states: We need to keep changing the attitude that raises our girls to be demure and our boys to be assertive, that criticizes our daughters for speaking out and our sons for shedding a tear. We need to keep changing the attitude that punishes women for their sexuality and rewards men for theirs. We need to keep changing the attitude that permits the routine harassment of women, whether they’re walking do...

ESSENCE OF CONTENTMENT

My dad always told me one thing right from childhood which got implanted in my mind and I would never overlook for rest of my life: “Simple living, high thinking and simplicity is the ultimate erudition”. I do have a query which triggers my thoughts everyday: Are we truly contented with what we are and is there a conclusion argument for contentment at any point in life? Let me walk you through the contentment I get in a day. Every single morning, I put forward my profuse thanks and earnest gratitude to god for providing me with an opportunity to endure to do something prodigious for what I was predestined for. Sometimes when I wake up early, I feel energetic and contented that my day would be filled with miracles and breakthroughs but if I end up rousing up late, I feel indolent/idle throughout the day. It starts with accomplishing simple tasks like you were able to fix a bug in the design, answering your coworker politely, cooking your favorite food, shopping at your favorite ...

TOMMOROW IS ANOTHER DAY

" Resilience isn’t flying through without tears. You don’t need resilience to get through the easy stuff. Resilience is being knocked down by something, struggling through the mud, and standing up again, even if limping and on one leg, but standing up to fight another day.” The past few weeks has been surreal for the whole world. As I started capturing my thoughts am kind off vicarious and feeling dejected, unhappy that am not able to help/serve the needy one’s in the world which is quite unfortunate. In this moment only thing which matters is how doctors, health care workers are handling millions of patients suffering from this havoc pandemic, it’s massively disruptive and for many people it has been intensely stressful dealing with this catastrophic situation for them. I can imagine the nerve-wracking days, sleepless nights they are going through and it’s our individual responsibility of stabilizing the pandemic. No one knows how long this pandemic will last, or how long ...
PART-IV: An impact-full interpretation of defense daughter  "Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth". We flaunt our army background a lot which is why we may seem proud or bratty .But I think as Army kids ,we're raised to be really independent ;you don't see your dad around much and your mum is holding the family together and it's almost like she's a single mum. We're two kids and our dad always made us carry our own bags ..I was never treated like a dainty girl and was raised tough (though after retirement I became his princess though) .As defense brat I would not have traded my life for anything else. I loved the nomadic life, the uncertainty of the next posting, the excitement of packing and moving to a guest room for that period, shedding tears for friends who knew we’d never meet again, and then the unpacking and settling down at another station, making new friends, and going to a new school. I inter...
PART  III : Portraying defense family                                                                ------Dedicated to Lt. Anvesh Reddy (LOVE U :)) My life until now has been full of ups and downs so as I started writing this narrative, far away from that paradise and from a different country; Apparently this time when I visited India I didn't get a chance to meet my dear brother but both of us were able to keep up with the situation .T here are men sitting with rifles at altitudes of more than 15000 feet, at temperatures of -35 degree Celsius, vigilantly monitoring the Indian borders. If there’s a lapse in their attention for even a second, they might lose their lives. Is that what motivates them to get frost bites, to celebrate Diwali and their children’s birthdays in an isolated, de...

PART II: A major twist in our lives happened during  Papa’s retirement. We were supposed to visit  Bangalore  for a month to relish his retirement and visit  places  in and  around  Bangalore. It was March 30th(don't remember the exact year) when brother started to feel  nauseated  and next day we took  him to a  doctor .Doctor mentioned  that  it was appendicitis and he needs to get treated immediately(It was not actually appendicitis since he had 10 stitches on his lower abdomen) .So we had to cancel our Bangalore trip and Papa took official retirement on a sad note. He rushed to the hospital directly from railway station. After a month everything was back to normal and s tarted spending  quality  time with Papa, but the destiny didn't favor mom. She was working in a different location which was 3-4 hours away from Hyderabad which is why she used be home every 3 days. This phase of life as a chi...

STORY OF MY LIFE

Image
"Na karmana na prajaya dhanena tyagenaike amrta tvamanasuh parena naked nihitam guhayam vibhrajate yadyatayo visanti" ---Neither by actions nor by progeny and wealth, but by renunciation alone is immortality attained. I dedicate this article to the defense families of India. Part I: Cute Anusha in Delhi Time to reminisce the memories of my childhood. Initial 12 years of my childhood was with mamma since papa was in defense forces. We definitely missed dad’s love, care. Every day I asked mamma when papa is coming back and she always avoided our question but used to say pretty soon, could witness the agony in answering us in mamma’s eyes. Unfortunately, “pretty soon” was once every six months as we realized that later. It’s not just my family but all the families, especially kids, experience the same situation but it’s more intense with defense families. Back in those days we did not have mobile phones with (forget about) skype or whatsapp, landlin...

EMPOWERING SELF: HAPPINESSS

"Many times even bullshit can get you to the top but never lets you stay there." The moment we are born as human beings somehow our lives got complicated ,If we had come as any other creature on this planet life would be very simple -eating ,sleeping, reproducing and dying one day. Now we have to do all those things but after doing all those things we find somehow it's not enough,We want be little more than what we're right now . If you know only pleasure ,may be little more pleasure ,power little more power ,money little more money.Whatever it may be but everybody is wanting to be little more than what they are right now.The process of desiring is continuously on!! What is well-being?When do we truly feel well? When you are happy, you are well.Even if you're physically ill, you are still well.So fundamentally well being means a certain level of joyfulness, certain level of exuberance in life. We are constantly in search for pursuit of happiness: That we wa...

ABRUPT END -Story of an excruciating engineer

“Everyday is a new opportunity. You can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again .That’s the way life is, with a new game everyday and that’s the way every game is” Starting full time job in one of the world’s leading electric car manufacturer was overwhelming, certainly everyone’s dream to land in so called MNC’s and one of the preposterous decision I have ever made.Specially was thrown in a desert where you get to see batteries more than people ,for the first time ever felt so lonely because of the place .  I am  so grateful to my friends in the oasis who eliminated the agony I was facing in the beginning . “ Work is worship ”-In this world of intellectuals felt like a simple minded and unintelligent ,since this was so called the “first job” .Slowly built up the self confidence to get along with the geeks .As time passed I became nerd and workaholic much like everyone (one among the flock of sheep) but was totally perplex...
