PART-IV: An impact-full interpretation of defense daughter  "Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth". We flaunt our army background a lot which is why we may seem proud or bratty .But I think as Army kids ,we're raised to be really independent ;you don't see your dad around much and your mum is holding the family together and it's almost like she's a single mum. We're two kids and our dad always made us carry our own bags ..I was never treated like a dainty girl and was raised tough (though after retirement I became his princess though) .As defense brat I would not have traded my life for anything else. I loved the nomadic life, the uncertainty of the next posting, the excitement of packing and moving to a guest room for that period, shedding tears for friends who knew we’d never meet again, and then the unpacking and settling down at another station, making new friends, and going to a new school.
